BRANDON’S STORY
“Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives and create a meaning that disempowers them or one that can literally save their lives.”
Tony Robbins
Brandon’s story started at the age of ten with a life-changing event and trauma that eventually led to his addiction. For seventeen years, Brandon suffered from the effects of trauma, as well as the excruciating effects of addiction. He tried rehab several times, but the hold addiction had on him trapped him in his own personal nightmare, he could not escape from
From a happy child to a “broken” teenager and adult, Brandon could not overcome the effects of the mental torture and addiction he experienced. This is why recovery is not only about physical sobriety but also about mental and emotional recovery, because addiction consumes the mind, spirit, and soul.
Brandon also experienced the emptiness associated with addiction, as addiction affects relationships with loved ones. He felt like he was a “horrible person” for the pain he inflicted on the people who loved him, which was a constant source of guilt, shame, and despair for him.
“If I don’t live long, I want you to start a foundation in my name to help people who struggle with drug abuse and addiction.”
Brandon
Bandon’s wish was to help other people who had gone into the black hole of addiction and life trauma. He didn’t want them to suffer as he did. This was Brandon’s vision. It was his way of helping people and giving back, for all the dozens of people who tried to help him over the years.
